Microsoft have released a patch that allows Windows XP Mode to be installed on Windows 7 Professional, Ultimate and Enterprise without the need for you hardware to support virtualisation. Following on from my post yesterday, it seems as though the issue, dubbed “Black screen of death”, has been narrowed down to a Malware issue, and not a security update as previously reported. Microsoft have written a brief report on what they believe is the cause.
